This Proof of Concept (PoC) was developed for a client with the ambitious goal of streaming a digital human from a remote location to a broadcast plate in real time.
At the heart of the project was the challenge of capturing a digital human's presence in our Bangalore office and rendering them seamlessly into a live broadcast environment. We utilized cutting-edge motion and facial capture hardware to capture intricate details and expressions in real time. This data was then streamed live over a 5G network, rendering the digital human onto a green screen background. The result was a stunningly realistic digital representation as if the individual was teleported digitally from one place to another.
The Metafan Project demonstrated the capabilities of 5G technology in high-fidelity streaming and showcased our ability to integrate multiple hardware and software units to create a cohesive digital twin. This twin performed remarkably in the studio and the broadcast environment, blurring the lines between virtual and physical presence.
